Type: Original design Sports Coupe
Brief overview of car:
The DDR SP8 is essentially the same car as the SP4 but based around a Chevy small block V8 (hence the 8) instead of the 4 cylinder Toyota/Honda version. It is a stunning sports coupe, no doubt taking some styling queues from the McLaren F1 but totally built from scratch using the traditional wooden buck method to create the GRP mold.
The SP8 uses parts from a 1997 - 2002 LS1 Corvette including its small block V8 engine. In addition you will need either a Porsche G50 or Audi Transaxle. Components are bolted to the tubular space frame chassis.
Body tub is fiberglass with some carbon fiber, doors open in a scissor/gullwing type arrangement and have a cut out in the roof ala GT40. The SP8 is bodily identical to it's SP4 sister.
